________________
The above examples make it clear that Haribhadra in his writings on Yoga does not succumb to any narrow-mindedness or prejudices, and his utterances are of a true Sādhaka. His dispassionate attitude and independent reflection reach climax in such works. That is why his Yoga works occupy a foremost place in the whole of his literature.
We have already seen that a lot of Yoga literature was in yogue in different circles before Haribhadra and much has been written on Yoga even by his successors. It cannot be gainsaid that all this bulk of Yoga literature is undoubtedly invaluable; but to our knowledge none has so far made such a brilliant, comparative and all-comprehensive study of Yoga as is cone by Haribbadra. Thus Haribhadra's contribution to Yoga stands unparalleled even to this day.
