वक्त्रं क्व ते सुर-नरोरग-नेत्रहारिનિઃશેષ-નિર્નિત-નI7-ત્રિતો-પમાનમ્ | बिम्बं कलङ्क-मलिनं क्व निशाकरस्य यद्वासरे भवति पाण्डु-पलाश-कल्पम्
Vaktram kva te sura-naroraga-netrahãri niśćeşa-nirjita-jagat-tritayo-pamānam Bimbaṁ kalanka-malinaṁ kva niśãkarasya yad-vāsare bhavati pāndu-palasa-kalpam

વત્ર કવ તે સુર-નરોગ-નેત્રહારિનિઃશેષ-નિર્જિત-જગ-ત્રિતયો-પમાનમ્ | બિલ્બ કલડું-મલિન કવ નિશાકરસ્યા
યદ્રાસરે ભવતિ પાડુ-પલાશ-કલ્પમ્ ૧૩ GIOIEEEEE
हे ! जगदीश्वर ! जो दिन में पलाश के जैसा फिका हो जाता है, रात्रि में पूर्ण प्रकाशित होने के समय पर भी जो काले धब्बे जैसे कलंक से गंदा दिखता है, ऐसा चन्द्र का विम्ब कहाँ ? ओर सुर असुर तथा मनुष्य के नैनों को खींच ले जानेवाले तथा जगत की तमाम उपमाओं को जीत जानेवाला आपका मुख कहाँ !
પ્રભુ ! દેવ, મનુષ્ય અને નાગકુમારના નેત્રને હરનારું, ત્રણેય જગતની સમસ્ત ઉપમાને જીતનારું તારું મુખ ક્યાં અને કલંકથી મલિન થયેલ તેમજ દિવસે ખાખરાના પાન જેવું ફિ દેખાતું ચન્દ્રનું બિમ્બ કયાં ?
(પ્રભુ ! તારા મુખને તો ચન્દ્રની ઉપમા આપી શકાય તેમ નથી.) My Almighty, how aesthetically pleasing do You appear!
Deities are attracted to You; men are happier to have you in their eyes and hearts; even the animals and birds are grateful to have Your glimpse. No metaphor is enough to narrate Your appearance.
All the comparisons and metaphoric descriptions fall short...
The moon has no value in daytime; though it looks like a prince in the night, but it is pale in daytime...
Oh God! The whole world looks pale and tasteless when compared with you.
