भक्तामरदर्शन. यः संस्तुतः सकल-वाङ्मय-तत्त्वबोधादुद्भूत-बुद्धि-पटुभिः सुरलोक-नाथैः स्तोत्रै-र्जगत्-त्रितय-चित्तहरै-रुदारैः स्तोष्ये किलाहमपि तं प्रथमं जिनेन्द्रम्
।

Yaḥ Saṁstutaḥ sakala-vãnmaya-tattvabodhãdudbhuta-buddhi-patubhih surloka-nathaih | Stotrair-jagat-tritaya-citta-harai-rudāraih stosye kildhamapi tam prathamam Jinendram ||2||
यः संस्तुत: सह-पाय-तत्त्वजोधाहुद्भूत-बुद्धि-५मिः सु२खो-नाथैः स्तोत्र-ईगत्-त्रितय-थित्तरै-२६ारैः
સ્તોષ્ય કિલાકમપિ તે પ્રથમ જિનેન્દ્રમ્ રો CSSSSSSSD
हे आदीश्वर भगवन् ! जो सकल शास्त्रों के रहस्य के बोध को मिलाकर प्रगट बुद्धिवाले बने हैं, ऐसे देवेन्द्रों द्वारा तीन जगत के मनोरंजक और विशाल स्तोत्रों से जिसकी स्तुति की गई है, ऐसे आप प्रथम जिनेश्वर भगवान की मैं भी स्तुति करता हूँ।
જે (પ્રભુ) સમગ્ર શાસ્ત્રોના રહસ્યના બોધથી ઉત્પન્ન થયેલ બુદ્ધિની કુશળતાવાળા દેવલોકના સ્વામી ઇન્દ્ર વડે, ત્રણેય જગતના લોકોના ચિત્તને હરનારા, ઉદાર તથા અર્થથી ગમ્ભીર સ્તોત્ર વડે સ્તવાયા છે, તે પ્રથમ જિનેશ્વર ઋષભદેવને હું પણ સ્તવીશ જ.
Shree Manatunga soorishwarjee's heart is in great decisive delight. He says, "I will positively compose a Stavan (स्तवन) of Lord Adideva (भगवान् आदिदेवः), the first Jain Tirthankara (प्रथम जैन तीर्थङ्करः), who existed in the beginning of this age".
There is a definite reason behind his decision. The leaders pave the way to be followed by common men.
Lord Rishabhadeva (भगवान ऋषभदेवः) is worshipped by the Indras. These Indras have mastered the secrets of all the shashtras. They are highly intelligent. They have worshipped him with their generous and spell binding Stotras.
Therefore only, Manatunga soorishwarjee Maharaj, with his highest perseverance, energy and confidence decides to pray Bhagwan Adideva through this extra-ordinary verse-the Bhaktamara Stotra.
