It is his grace only which offered us the honour of publishing this work and we are indebted to him. What else can we do to our preceptor except offering koti-koti-vandanas at his lotus feet.
It is our fortune that our grand-preceptor himself could spot a good artist who could give the outlines for his conceptions of Bhaktamara. We offer our thanks to the artist Sri Virendra. When he could not proceede with the work further for personal reasons Padmaputra Ashokbhai Kagajwala offered his services and did the paintings admirably. We hope this will not only gladden the hearts of the people but will help them too. We also offer our thanks to Sri Pratapbhai Toliya, Sri Manorathbhai Kothari who translated the Hindi sections, Sri Jitubhai who translated Gurudev's annotation of the verse portion and Dr. K. Srinivasan for translating the remaining sections into English and offering his services in editing the work too.
Some times the intentions of the writer is not completely brought out in translations. Our Guruji has tried to iron out the differences among the three versions by himself going through all the sections.
The project was proposed by Sri Labdhi-Vikramsoorishwarji Sanskriti Kendra. It was handled by Sri Rajendra Dalal, Managing Trustee, of the Kendra carefully. I thank him profusely on behalf of the Publishers.
We can understand the problems a work of this magnitude will pose to the printers. Nehaj Enterprise, Bombay co-operated with the editor to the latter's satisfaction and they deserve our congratulation for the neat and clean printing. Since the editor is a monk, the printer followed him in his vihar along with the computer unit and staff for the last two years. We thank them, especially the proprietors Sri Jayesh Shah.
It requires the philonthropists of no mean order to help the publication of such work. It is not an ordinary work but a monument for our grandpreceptor. We offer our grateful thanks to those who have made contributions and their names appear elsewhere in this work. We tried our level best to bring out a good edition of The Bhaktamara Stotra and now it is upto you readers to judge our effort. We hope you will enjoy it and give us necessary encouragement to go in for a reprint soon. Any good suggestion for improvement is welcome and it will be incorporated in the subsequent edition.
It is in the fitness of things that this book is released in Chennai which witnessed commencement of the congregational prayer of The Bhaktamara Stotra and in a way responsible for Bhaktamara atmosphere.
Finally we offer our humble vandanas at the feet of our Guruji and to all those people who made this work possible.
