etē kālē ( 23/16 : iyatā kālena); eti ,vāra ( 20/10 : etāvatim velán); ketay eka (10/17 : kiyanta -eke); tasa (32/8 : tadrk); 'kasa (32/1-: kidrsaḥ.), instr. loc. kaisē (32/1, 2); jasa (33/8 : yudek); kawana (19/27, 30, 31 : = kaḥ, katamaḥ; <kaḥ+punah).
Adverbs ,

§ 69. Origin of the Pronominal Adjectives and Adverbs.

VERB BASES. A good number of OIA. roots were received by way of inheri. tance by NÍA., and these are found in the Old Kosali of the Ukti-vyakti. In MIA., the vikaraņas which formed the basis of the classification of Skt. roots by grammarians into the 10 ganas were as far as possible brought under the -- class with accented root (bhū class-bháv-r- ), and this - base became practically the only verb base current in the language. As nouns in -a- and the yerbbases in -a- frequirtly coalesced in form, nouns in -a- could easily be used as verbs from MIA.. times, and among such nouns we have
