चित्त-संभूति मुनि के पाँच पूर्वमव नाटक देखते-देखते ब्रह्मदत्त चक्रवर्ती को अपने पाँच पूर्वभव की स्मृति हो आई। (1) एक बार दोनों भाई दासी-पुत्र बने, खेत में वृक्ष के नीचे सोये थे, साँप के काटने से
मृत्यु हुई। (2) जंगल में हिरण बने, वहाँ शिकारी के तीर से घायल होकर दम तोड़ दिया। (3) फिर राजहंस बने, वहाँ एक निर्दय मछुए ने गर्दन मरोड़कर मार डाला। (4) वाराणसी में चंडाल-पुत्र बने, नृत्य-गीत से जनता का मनोरंजन करने लगे। राजपुरुषों
ने चंडाल-पुत्रों को पीटा, दुःखी होकर साधु बन तपस्या करने लगे। राजपुरुषों द्वारा
सताये जाने पर क्रोध में आकर एक मुनि ने नगर को भस्म करने तेजोलेश्या छोड़ी। (5) वहाँ से दोनों भाई स्वर्ग में उत्पन्न हुए। [पूर्व-जन्म के पाँच भवं]

under a tree in the farm; died by snake bite. (2) Took rebirth as deer in a forest, died by the arrow of a hunter. (3) Then were reborn as swans. A fisherman twisted their necks and put
them to death. Reborn as Chandala-sons in Varanasi, the started entertaining public by singing and dancing. Kings' soldiers beat the two; out of grief they became ascetics and began observing austerities. On being cruelly beaten by soldiers one of the ascetics launched tejoleshya (fire power) to burn the
city. (5) From there both the brothers got reborn as divine beings.
