जहा से तिक्खसिंगे, जायखन्धे विरायई।
वसहे जूहाहिवई, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए॥१९॥ जिस तरह तीखे सींगों और बलिष्ठ स्कन्धों वाला, गौ-समूह का अधिपति, वृषभ सुशोभित होता है, उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी शोभायमान होते हैं॥ १९ ॥
As a large bull with pointed horns and strong shoulders looks grand as the leader of its herd, so does an accomplished scholarly ascetic. (19)
जहा से तिक्खदाढे, उदग्गे दुप्पहंसए।
सीहे मियाण पवरे, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए॥२०॥ जैसे तीक्ष्ण दाढ़ों वाला, पूर्ण युवा और दुर्जेय सिंह वन्य पशुओं में प्रधान होता है, उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी होता है॥ २०॥
As a lion with sharp fangs, youthful, mature and unconquerable is supreme among all wild animals, so is an accomplished scholarly ascetic (among humans). (20)
जहा से वासुदेवे, संख-चक्क-गयाधरे।
अप्पडिहयबले जोहे, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए॥२१॥ जिस प्रकार शंख, चक्र और गदा आयुधों को धारण करने वाला वासुदेव अप्रतिहत बलशाली योद्धा होता है, उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी होता है॥ २१॥
As Vasudeva, armed with conch-shell (Shankh), disc-weapon (Chakra) and mace (Gada), is an invincible and powerful warrior, so is an accomplished scholarly ascetic. (21)
जहा से चाउरन्ते, चक्कवट्टी महिड्ढिए।
चउद्दसरयणाहिवई, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए ॥२२॥ जिस प्रकार चारों दिशाओं के अन्त तक का स्वामी, महर्द्धिक, चौदह रत्नों का अधिपति चक्रवर्ती सम्राट होता है, उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी चौदह पूर्वो के ज्ञान का धारक होता है॥ २२॥
As an exalted emperor, the owner of fourteen gems (with special powers), is the emperor of the land till the end of all four cardinal directions, so is an accomplished scholarly ascetic, the possessor of the knowledge of 14 Purvas (the subtle Jain canons). (22)
जहा से सहस्सक्खे, वज्जपाणी पुरन्दरे।
सक्के देवाहिवई, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए॥२३॥ जिस प्रकार सहस्रचक्षु, वज्रपाणि, पुरन्दर शक्रेन्द्र देवों का अधिपति होता है, उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी दिव्य ज्ञान का अधिपति होता है॥ २३ ॥
As the thousand-eyed, thunderbolt wielding, fortress destroyer, Shakra is the master of gods, in the same way an accomplished scholarly ascetic is the master of divine knowledge. (23)
