१६. [ प्र. ] अहेसत्तमाए णं भंते! पुढवीए कइ अणुत्तरा महतिमहालया महानिरया पन्नत्ता ?
[उ. ] गोयमा ! पंच अणुत्तरा जाव अप्पइट्ठाणे |
१६. [प्र.] भगवन्! अधः सप्तम पृथ्वी में कितने अनुत्तर और बहुत बड़े महानरकावास क गए हैं, इत्यादि प्रश्न ।
[उ.] गौतम! पाँच अनुत्तर यावत् बहुत बड़े नरकावास कहे गए हैं, यथा - (काल, महाकाल, रौरव, महारौरव और) अप्रतिष्ठान ।
16. [Q.] Bhante ! How many unique and gigantic infernal abodes are said to be there in Adhah-saptam Prithvi (seventh hell)? And other questions.
[Ans.] Gautam! There are said to be five gigantic infernal abodes in the seventh hell- ... and so on up to... (Kaal, Mahakaal, Raurav, Maharaurav and) Apratishthaan.
१७. [प्र.] ते णं भंते ! किं संखेज्जवित्थडा असंखेज्जवित्थडा ?
[3. ] गोयमा ! संखेज्जवित्थडे य असंखेज्जवित्थडा य ।
१७. [प्र.] भगवन् ! क्या वे नरकावास संख्यात योजन विस्तार वाले हैं अथवा असंख्यात योजन विस्तार वाले हैं?
[उ.] गौतम! वे नरकावास (मध्य का अप्रतिष्ठान ) संख्यात योजन विस्तार वाला है, और शेष ( चार नरकावास) असंख्यात योजन विस्तार वाले हैं।
17. [Q.] Bhante ! Is the expanse of these infernal abodes countable Yojans or innumerable Yojans ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! The central one (Apratishthaan) has countable Yojans area and the remaining (four) have innumerable Yojans area.
