have shifted them from one place to another or might have even turned them lifeless. I repent for the same and pray that the effect of that sin may wither 'away.
विवेचन : यतना/विवेक धर्म का प्राण है। विवेक पूर्वक क्रियाएं करता हुआ व्यक्ति पाप के बन्धन से मुक्त रहता है। जैन श्रमण अपनी सभी क्रियाओं को विवेक पूर्वक साधता है। प्रस्तुत सूत्र में साधक गमन - आगमन संबंधी व्यापारों की आलोचना करते हुए असावधानी अथवा प्रमा से उत्पन्न हुए दोषों का प्रतिक्रमण करता है । 'इच्छामि' शब्द उसकी स्वेच्छा का बोधक है। उस पर किसी का दबाव नहीं है। वह अपनी स्वाभाविक करुणा और पापभीरूता के कारण अपनी आत्मा से दोषों के कांटे दूर करता है।
एकेन्द्रिय से पंचेन्द्रिय तक के प्राणियों का संक्षिप्त स्वरूप इस प्रकार है
(1) एकेन्द्रिय- एक इन्द्रिय वाले प्राणी- पृथ्वी, पानी, अग्नि, वायु और वनस्पति के शरीर वाले जीव ।
(2) द्वीन्द्रिय-दो इन्द्रिय वाले प्राणी-शंख, सीप, लट आदि जीव ।
(3) त्रीन्द्रिय -तीन इन्द्रिय वाले प्राणी-जूं, लीख, कीड़ी आदि जीव ।
(4) चतुरिन्द्रिय- चार इन्द्रिय वाले प्राणी - मक्खी, मच्छर, भंवरा आदि जीव ।
(5) पंचेन्द्रिय-पांच इन्द्रिय वाले जीव- मनुष्य, तिर्यंच, जलचर, स्थलचर, खेचर आदि
जीव ।
विधि : ईर्यापथिकी प्रतिक्रमण के पश्चात् कायोत्सर्ग-शुद्धि के लिए निम्नोक्त सूत्र का मनन किया जाता है
Explanation: Sense of discrimination is the very life-force of dharma. One who performs activities in a vigilant manner with a sense of discrimination, he gets liberated from the bondage of the effect of that sin. A Jain monk performs all the daily activities with a sense of discrimination. In this aphorism (Sutra), the practitioner doing selfcriticism of activities relating to movement, repents for faults arising out of lack of discrimination or due to any slackness. The word 'Ichhami' indicates that it is being done voluntarily and without any pressure or influence of others. He removes the thorn of sins from his soul by his natural feeling of compassion and the fear of the effect of sins.
