प्रत्याख्यान आवश्यक . Pratyakhyan Essential
विधि : तिक्खुत्तो के पाठ से गुरु महाराज को वन्दन करके छठे आवश्यक की आज्ञा प्राप्त करे एवं गुरुमुख से यथाशक्ति प्रत्याख्यान ग्रहण करे। प्रत्याख्यान ग्रहण करने के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित सूत्र पढ़े
Procedure: After greeting the spiritual master with aphorism of 'Tikhutto', the practitioner should seek permission for sixth avashyak. Thereafter, he should accept pratyakhyan according to his physical strength from the 'guru'. Then, he should recite the following lesson.
सामायिक एक, चउवीसत्थव दो, वंदना तीन, पडिक्कमण चार, काउसग्ग पांच, छट्ठा पच्चक्खाण हियाए सुहाए खमाए निस्सेयसाए आणुगामियत्ताए भविस्सइ थवत्थुइ मंगल। __ भावार्थ : पहला सामायिक, दूसरा चतुर्विंशतिस्तव, तीसरा वंदन, चौथा प्रतिक्रमण, पांचवां कायोत्सर्ग एवं छठा प्रत्याख्यान-ये छह आवश्यक मेरी आत्मा के लिए हितकारी, सुखकारी एवं मंगल व कल्याण के हेतु हैं (होंगे)।
तत्पश्चात् विधिपूर्वक दो बार 'नमोत्थुणं' का पाठ पढ़े।
Exposition: For the benefit of my soul, I have practiced six things namely Samayik Chauvisatha (hymn in praise of Tirthankars), Vandana, Pratikarman, Kausagg (state of detachment from the body) and pratyakhyan. Thereafter, he recites the lesson of Namothanum twice.
