regard to maximum fault. According to the chapter first of the second part of Acharanga Sutra the fault of "malapаhrit" is not applicable if the food is easily taken out, standing on the ground, from the high places or taken from the not falling objects or offered through

THE REPENTANCE OF ACCEPTING THE FOOD KEPT IN THE STOREHOUSE 126. जे भिक्खू कोट्ठियाउत्तं असणं वा, पाणं वा,खाइमं वा, साइमं वा उक्कुज्जिय निक्कुज्जिय
ओहरिय देज्जमाणं पडिग्गाहेइ, पडिग्गाहेंतं वा साइज्जइ। 126. जो भिक्षु कोठे में रखे हुए अशन, पान, खादिम या स्वादिम को ऊँचा होकर या नीचे झुककर
निकालकर देते हुए से लेता है अथवा लेने वाले का समर्थन करता है। (उसे लघुचौमासी

देज्जमाणं पडिग्गाहेइ, पडिग्गाहेंतं वा साइज्जइ। जरे 127. जो भिक्षु मिट्टी से उपलिप्त बर्तन में रहे अशन, पान, खादिम या स्वादिम को लेप तोड़कर दिए
जाने पर ग्रहण करता है अथवा ग्रहण करने वाले का समर्थन करता है। (उसे लघुचौमासी
प्रायश्चित्त आता है।) 127. The ascetic who accepts the food, water, sweets, and the tasty items offered after
breaking the smeared paste from the earthen paste smeared utensil or supports the ones who accepts so, a laghu-chaumasi repentance comes to him.
विवेचन-सभी प्रकार के ढक्कनों के समाविष्ट होने के कारण ही उनके खोलने पर त्रस-स्थावर जीवों की पर विराधना होने का कथन है। केवल मिट्टी से लिप्त में अग्नि आदि सभी त्रस-स्थावर जीवों की विराधना सम्भव नहीं
है। अतः"मट्टिओलित" शब्द होते हुए भी उपलक्षण से अनेक प्रकार के ढक्कन या लेप आदि से बंद किए आहार
का निषेध और प्रायश्चित्त समझ लेना चाहिए। साधु को देने के बाद कई ढक्कनों को पुनः लगाने में भी आरम्भ पर होता है, जिससे पश्चात्कर्म दोष लगता है। अत: ऐसा आहार आदि ग्रहण नहीं करना चाहिए।
यदि सामान्य ढक्कनों को खोलने, बंद करने में कोई विराधना न हो तथा जो सहज ही खोले या बंद किए जा सकते हों, उनको खोलकर दिया जाने वाला आहार ग्रहण करने पर प्रायश्चित्त नहीं आता है।
Comments—It includes of all sorts of lids and upon opening of these lids the violence of all types of moveable and non-moveable beings is stated here-in.
