3. अपुच्छिय - विशेष जानकारी करना अर्थात् शय्यातर के गौरव की जानकारी करना, शय्यातर के नाम वाला एक ही है अथवा अनेक हैं, यह जानना और उसके घर का पता जानना पृच्छना है। ऐसी पूछताछ किये बिना । 4. अगवेसिय- घर को प्रत्यक्ष देखे बिना, शय्यातर को भी प्रत्यक्ष देखे बिना उसे वय, वर्ण, चिन्ह आदि से पहचाने बिना ।
परिचित क्षेत्र में नाम गोत्र व घर की जानकारी केवल पूछने से ही हो जाती है किन्तु अपरिचित क्षेत्र में व्यक्ति को प्रत्यक्ष देखकर उसके वय, वर्ण, आकृति को तथा मकान के आसपास का स्थल देखकर उसे स्मृति में रखना आवश्यक होता है, उसके बाद ही कोई भी भिक्षु गोचरी लेने जा सकता है।
गाहावई - गृहस्वामी, गाहावइ - कुलं - पत्नी - पुत्र आदि से युक्त गृहस्थ का घर, पिंड - अशनादि, पिंडवायपडियाए-अर्थात् गृहस्थ के द्वारा दिये जाने वाले आहार को पात्र में ग्रहण करने की बुद्धि । Comments (Glossory)-1. Sagariyam Kulam-The house of a Shayyatar. 2. Ajaniya-The general information means the name of shayyatar and where his house is located? Without knowing it.
3. Apucchhiya-to get exclusive information i.e. to know the grandson of Shayyatara, Pricchima is called to know the address of his house and to know whether the shayyatar is known by one name or has many names.
4. Agavesiya-Without knowing directly the age, complexion and any. introduction of the Shayyatar, and without seeing his residence directly.
In any known area his name, subcaste and residence of the shayyatara can be known only through asking but in unknown areas it is essential to know the residence, complexion age, figure, and the vicinity or the Shayyatare himself only through direct approach and need to be kept in memory. Knowing all these only then the ascetic may go for accepting food.
Gahavai means the owner of the home Gahavai-family means the wife, son and the home of a householder who has a family.
Pindavaya padiyie-It means the wisdom by which the food donated by the Householder is accepted into the "Patra".

49. जे भिक्खू सागारियणीसाए असणं वा पाणं वा खाइमं वा साइमं वा ओभासिय- ओभासिय जायइ, जायंतं वा साइज्जइ ।
49. जो भिक्षु शय्यातर की नेश्राय से अशन, पान, खाद्य या स्वाद माँग- माँगकर याचना करता है अथवा याचना करने वाले का समर्थन करता है। (उसे लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त आता है।)
49. The ascetic who seeks food, water, sweets or fats with the co-operation of a Shayyatara or supports the ones who does so, a laghu-masik atonement comes to him.
