sthāna, vādālankāra, vādanigraha, vādanihsarana and vāde bahukarādharmāh under this head, He defines, illustrates each one of them and cites their classification in details where necessary.
He further details the various kinds of vāda5 (i. e. pratyayāvavāda, vivāda, apavāda, anuvāda, and avavāda) and vadādhikarana.
But the main contribution of our author lies in formulation of the various relevant aspects of logical tendencies which were later on detailed by Vasubandhu, Dignāga, Dharmakirti, Jnanasrimitra, Ratnakirti and others. Under the heading vādādhisthāna, he enumerates the twofold sādhyārtha, the natural (svabhava) and the specific (visesa) along with the eightfold sādhana which forms the backbone of the
