Chapter 9 : Sutra 1&2
The Danger of Overweening Success
1. It is better to leave a vessel unfilled, than to attempt to carry it when it is full. If you keep feeling a point that has been sharpened, the point can not long preserve its sharpness. 2. When gold and jade fill the hall, their possessor can not keep them safe. When wealth and honour lead to arrogance, this brings evil on itself. When the work is done and one's name is becoming distinguished, to withdraw into obscurity is the way of Heaven.
अध्याय 9: सूत्र 1 व 2 জাত্রীরা ভালো ঐ ত্রিলোভী
1. किसी भरे हुए पात्र को ढोने की कोशिश करने की अपेक्षा उसे अधजल छोड़ना ही श्रेयस्कर है। यदि आप तलवार की धार को बार-बार महसूस करते रहें, तो दीर्घ अवधि तक उसकी तीक्ष्णता नहीं टिक सकती। 2. सोने ऑरहीर से जब भवन भर जाता है, तब मालिक उसकी रक्षा नहीं कर सकता है। जब समृद्धि और सम्मान से घमंड उत्पन्न होता है, तब वह स्वयं के लिए अमंगल का कारण बन जाता है। कार्य की सफल निष्पत्ति के अनंतर जब कर्ता का यश फैलने लगे, तब उसका अपने को ओझल बना लेना ही स्वर्ग का मार्ग हैं।
