देवतामूर्ति-प्रकरणम् रेवती-८ और हरसिद्धि-९ ये नव दुर्गा देवी के नाम हैं। अब प्रत्येक का अनुक्रम से स्वरूप कहूंगा।
Now I (Mandan) shall describe the different appearances of the Nine Durga goddesses. These Nava-Durgas bestow auspiciousness. (49).
'The first of the Durgas is known as Mahalakshmi. Then comes Nanda, Kshemankari, Sarvati, Maharanda, Bhramani, Sarvamangala (50), Rewati and Harasiddhi. These are the names : of the Ninc Durgas. Now each of them shall be described in the order mentioned. (51).
१. महालक्ष्मी देवी
वरदं त्रिशूलं खेटं पानपात्रं च बिभ्रती। नागं नीलकण्ठमध्ये महालक्ष्मी: प्रकीर्तिता ॥५२॥ .
वरद मुद्रा, त्रिशूल, ढाल और पानपात्र को धारण करने वाली, नीलकण्ठ वाली, उसमें सांप को धारण करने वाली महालक्ष्मी देवी है।
(i) Mahalakshmi = Mahalakshmi holds one hand in the Varad mode and possesses a trident,' a shield and a panapatram(goblet or drinking vessel) in the other three hands. Her blue throat is adorned by a snakc. Such is the splendour of Mahalakshmi. (52). २. नन्दा देवी
अक्षसूत्रं खड्गखेटं पानपात्रं तथोत्तमम् । नन्दा नाम समाख्याता पूज्यते नन्दहेतवे ॥५३॥
अक्षमाला, खड्ग, ढाल और पानपात्र को धारण करने वाली नन्दा देवी है, वह सुख के लिये पूजनीय है।
(ii) Nanda = Bearing a rosary, a sword, a shield and a panapatram in her arms is the renowned goddess named Nanda. She is worshipped to obtain happiness and bliss. (53).
