देवतामूर्ति-प्रकरणम्
जिनदेव के प्रतीहारों का स्वरूप
फलवज्रांकुशं दण्डमिन्द्रोऽपसव्ये इन्द्रजयस्तथा। द्वौ वनौ फलदण्डं तु माहेन्द्रोऽपसव्ये विजयस्तथा ॥७२॥ .
पूर्व दिशा के द्वार के दाहिनी ओर का इन्द्र नाम का द्वारपाल फल, वज्र, . अङ्कुश और दण्ड को धारण करने वाला है और इन्हीं शस्त्रों को अपसव्य क्रम. से धारण करने वाला बाँयी ओर का द्वारपाल इन्द्रजय है। दक्षिण दिशा के द्वार. . के दाहिनी ओर का माहेन्द्र नाम का द्वारपाल दो वज्र, फल और दण्ड को धारण करता है। और इन्हीं शस्त्रों को अपसव्य क्रम से धारण करने वाला बाँयी ओर ' . का विजय नाम का द्वारपाल है।
__ Indra holds fruit, a thunderbolt, a goad and the rod of danda (and stands on the right of the eastern door), while Indrajay has the same attributes but in the reverse or opposite order (and , stands on the left of the eastern door). Mahendra (standing to the right of the southern door) holds two thunderbolts, fruit and the danda rod respectively in his four hands, while Vijay (who stands to the left of the southern door) has the same objects in his four hands in the opposite order to Mahendra. (72).
तदायुधयोगोद्भवास्त्रिपञ्चाद्रिफणोर्ध्वगाः। , धरणेन्द्रः पद्मकश्च सर्वशान्तिकरौ स्मृतौ ॥७३॥
पश्चिम दिशा के द्वार के दाहिनी ओर का धरणेन्द्र नाम का द्वारपाल उपरोक्त शस्त्रों को सव्य क्रम से धारण करता है। एवं बाँयी ओर का द्वारपाल पद्मक भी उपरोक्त शस्त्रों को अपसव्य क्रम से धारण करता है। विशेष में इतना ही है कि इन दोनों के मस्तक पर तीन, पाँच या सात फणा होती हैं। ये सर्वशान्तिकारक हैं।
