Sana flower, leaves of blue lotus and the alasi flower. Its colour compared with stones like marakata and indranila, a belt called katitra: and the eye-balls. It was very polished, eight-cornered, shining like the surface of the mirror, beautiful. The slab had carved on it on all sides the figures of tha deer, oxen, horses, men, crocodiles, birds, snakes, kinnaras, rurus, sarabhas, camaras, elephants, forest creepers and lotus creepers. Its touch was as soft as that of deer skin, cotton fibre, sawdust, butter, or ākanda fibre. It had the shape of a throne/seat. It was pleasant, worthy to be seen, beautiful and never to be forgotten. 5.
राजा का वर्णन King Kūšika
तत्थ णं चंपाए णयरीए कूणिए णाम राया परिवसइ । महयाहिमवंत-महंत-मलय-मंदर-महिंद-सारे अच्चंत-विसुद्ध-दीह-राय-कुलवंस-सुप्पसूए णिरंतरं रायलक्खण-विराइअंगमंगे बहुजण-बहुमाणे पूजिए सव्वगुण-समिद्धे खत्तिए मुइए मुद्धाहिसित्ते माउ-पिउ-सुजाए ।
- उस चम्पा नगरी में कूणिक नामक राजा रहता था। वह महा हिमवान् पर्वत के समान महान् और मलय, मेरु एवं महेन्द्र पर्वत के समान प्रधानविशिष्ट था। वह अत्यन्त विशुद्ध अर्थात् दोष रहित, प्राचीन राजकुल के रूप में प्रसिद्ध वंश में खुशहाल में उत्पन्न हुआ था। उसके अंग पूर्णतः राजलक्षणों अर्थात् राजोचित-लक्षणों से सुशोभित थे। वह बहुत से मनुष्यों द्वारा अति सम्मानित एवं पूजित था, जनता को संकट-आक्रमण से बचाता था, और वह प्रसन्न रहता था। उसका वैधानिक रूप से राज्याभिषेक अर्थात् राजतिलक हुआ था। वह माता-पिता से उत्पन्न उत्तम पुत्र था।
