उववाइय सुत्तं सिद्धस्त०
श
The joys enjoyed by the divine beings, Multiplied by three for three periods of time, And raised to square an infinite times, Still it equals not the joy of a perfected being. 14
सिद्धस्स सुहो रासी सव्वद्धापिंडिओ जइ हवेज्जा । सोऽणंतवग्गभइओ सव्वागासे ण माएज्जा ॥१५॥
__ एक सिद्ध के सुख को तीनों कालों-अतीत, वर्तमान तथा भूत से गुणित करने पर जो सुखराशि निष्पन्न होती है, उसे यदि अनन्त वर्ग से विभाजित-वर्गीकृत किया जाए तो जो सुख-राशि भाग-फल के रूप में उपलब्ध होती है वह इतनी अधिक होती है कि समूचे आकाश म समाहित नहीं हो सकती--अर्थात् नहीं समा सकती ॥१५॥
The quantum of joy a perfected soul enjoys, Multiplied by three for three periods of time, And divided the sum by an infinite number of categories, Still it's more than the capacity of the sky to contain. 15
जह णाम कोइ मिच्छो नगरगुणे बहुविहे वियाणंतो। ण चएइ परिकहेउं उवमाए तहिं असंतीए ॥१६॥
___ जैसे कोई म्लेच्छ-असभ्य-जंगली मनुष्य नगर के बहुविध-अनेक तरह के गुणों को जानता हुआ भी वन में वैसी कोई उपमा- नगर के तुल्य कोई पदार्थ नहीं पाता हुआ उस ( नगर ) के गुणों को कहने में या गुणकीर्तन करने में समर्थ नहीं हो सकता ।।१६।।
Just like an aborigin who may know, Many a strong point of urban living, But since they are not there in the forest, So he cannot describe the former's merits. 16
