tāpasas among the Jyotişkas, the kandarpikas in the Saudharma-kalpa, the caraka-paribrājakas in the Brahmaloka, the kilbiṣakas in the Lantaka-kalpa, the tiryakas in the Sahasrara-kalpa, the ajivikas and the abhiyogikas in the Acyuta-kalpa, and the rest in the upper vimānasi.

[ on the life-span of living beings without mind ] प्रश्न १०९ - इविहे णं भंते ! असन्निआउ पन्नत्ते ?
उत्तर १०९ - गोयमा ! चविहे असन्निआउए पन्नत्ते तं जहा नेरइयअसन्निआउए तिरिक्ख मनुस्स देवअसन्निआउए ।
प्रश्न ११० - असण्णी णं भंते! जीवे कि नेरइयाउयं पकरेइ तिरिक्खमणु-देवाउयं पकरेइ ?
उत्तर ११० - हंता गोयमा ! नेरssssयं पिपकरेइ तिरिक्ख देवाउयं पि पकरेइ । नेरइयाउयं पकरेमाणे जहणणं दसवाससहस्साइं उक्कोसेणं पलिओवमस्स असंखेज्जभागं पकरेइ । तिरिक्खजोणियाउयं पकरेमाणे जहणणं अंतोमुहुत्तं उक्कोसेणं पलिओवमस्स असंखेज्जइभागं पकरेइ । मणुसायं वि एवं चैव । देवाउयं जहा नेरइयाउए ।
प्रश्न १११ - एयस्स णं भंते! नेरइयअसन्निआउयस्स तिरिक्ख-मणु-देवअन्नस् कयरे कयरे० जाव... . विसेसाहिए वा ?
उत्तर १११ - गोयमा ! सव्वत्थोवे देवअसन्निआउ मणुस्सअसन्नी आउए असंखेज्जगुणे तिरियअसन्नीआउए असंखेज्जगुणे नेरइयअसन्नीआउए अस - खेज्जगुणे ।
Q. 109. Bhante ! How many are stated to be the life-spans of beings without mind?
A. 109. Gautama ! They are stated to be of four types, which are, as infernal beings without mind, as non-humans without mind, as humans without mind, and as celestial beings without mind.
