towards self emancipation निरालंबणस्स आयर्याट्टया जोगा भवंति (Uttaradhyayan 29-33) Like Geeta's "Sthitaprajna" who does no wrong, Jains also have a subjective approach than mere objective alone; and whether bondage or no bondage, much depends upon the spiritual stage of the doer :
जे याऽबुद्धा महाभागा, वीरा असुद्ध तेसि परक्कतं, सफलं
जयबुद्धा सुद्ध सि

Great men bold enough but unenlightened and of perverted faith exert wrongly and hence their all activities & efforts result in bondage whereas great & brave persons who are enlightened and of right faith exert dexterously and none of their efforts & activities result in bondage.

Sootrakritaanga I, 8 (22-3)
वयण विभत्ति कुसलो, वयोगतं बहुविधं प्रजाणतो । जतिवि ण भासति किंची, ण चेव वतिगुत्तयं पत्तो ॥ 22 ।।
वयण
विभत्ति कुसलो, वयोगतं बहुविधं वियाणंतो । दिवसमवि
भासमाणो प्रभासमाणो ववइगुत्तो ॥ 23 ॥

An inexpert in the discriminative knowledge (विवेक = परिज्ञा ) of speech, being ignorant of numerous types thereof does not attain talking contraction ( वचन गुप्ति) even though observes complete silence whereas an expert in the discriminative knowledge of speech, being well conversant with various types therof, remains in talking contraction ( वचनगुप्ति) although speaks throughout the day.
