He enjoyed all kinds of royal happiness for a period of seventy-one lacs of Purvas (One Purva 70560000000000 years ), after which, he accepted consecration in royal orchard of his own capital, on the ninth day of New Moon in the month of Magha. He attained Kevala-Jnana ( perfect knowledge or omniscience) twelve years after his renunciation, on the eleventh day after Full Moon in the month of Pausha he observed the vow of renunciation for a period of one lac of Purva years, and, when all his Karmans were exhausted, he obtained
