________________ APPENDIX SELECTED PRATIKRAMAŅA - SŪTRAS' Namaskāra-sūtra :Navakāra - Mantra Namo arihamtāņam / Namo siddhānam / Namo āyariyānam / Namo uvajjhāyānam / Namo loe savva-sāhūņam / Eso pasca-namukkāro Savva-pāva-ppaņāsaņo Mamgalānaṁ cu savvesi Padhamam havai maṁgalam // Transalation : Salutation to Arhats ( = those who having destroyed attachment and aversion still live among the people, establish monastic order and the Jaina Path of liberation for their benefit). Salutation to Siddhas ( =liberated souls). Salutation to Ācāryas ( = heads of mendicant groups). Salutation to Upādhyāyas (=spiritual preceptors). Salutation to all the monks in the world. These five salutations destroy all sins, and are the most auspicious amongst all the auspicious things. Iriyāvahí - sūtra. Icchākāreņa samdisaha Bhagavan !
