अंतस्तोष अनिर्वचनीय होता है उस माली का, जो अपने हाथों से उप्त और सिंचित द्रुमनिकुंज को पल्लवित-पुष्पित और फलित हुआ देखता है, उस कलाकार का, जो अपनी तूलिका से निराकार को साकार हुआ देखता है और उस कल्पनाकार का, जो अपनी कल्पना को अपने प्रयत्नों से प्राणवान् बना देखता है। चिरकाल से मेरा मन इस कल्पना से भरा था कि जैन आगमों का शोधपूर्ण सम्पादन हो और मेरे जीवन के बहुश्रमी क्षण उसमें लगें। संकल्प फलवान् बना और वैसा ही हुआ। मुझे केन्द्र मान मेरा धर्मपरिवार इस कार्य में संलग्न हो गया अत: मेरे इस अंतस्तोष में मैं उन सबको समभागी बनाना चाहता हूं, जो इस प्रवृत्ति में संविभागी रहे हैं।
