युगप्रधान आचार्य श्री तुलसी ने सन् 1655 में आगम-वाचना का कार्य प्रारम्भ किया, जो सन् 453 में देवर्धिगणी क्षमाश्रमण के सान्निध्य में हुई संगति के पश्चात् होने वाली प्रथम वाचना थी। सन् 1666 तक 32 आगमों के अनुसंधानपूर्ण मूलपाठ संस्करण और 7 आगम संस्कृत छाया, हिन्दी अनुवाद एवं टिप्पण साहित्य प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त कोश-साहित्य की दष्टि से अनेक समृद्ध ग्रंथ प्रकाश में आ चुके हैं। आगमों के साथ नियुक्ति और भाष्य-साहित्य का सम्पादन और अनुवाद भी क्रमशः प्रकाश में आ रहा है। इस वाचना के मुख्य सम्पादक एवं विवेचक (भाष्यकार) हैं -आचार्य श्री महाप्रज्ञ (मुनि नथमल/युवाचार्य महाप्रज्ञ), जिन्होंने अपने सम्पादन-कौशल से जैन आगम-वाङ्मय को आधुनिक भाषा में समीक्षात्मक भाष्य के साथ प्रस्तति देने का गरुतर कार्य किया है। भाष्य में वैदिक, बौद्ध और जैन साहित्य, आयुर्वेद, पाश्चात्य दर्शन एवं आधुनिक विज्ञान के तुलनात्मक अध्ययन के आधार पर समीक्षात्मक अध्ययन के आधार पर समीक्षात्मक टिप्पण लिखे गए है। जैन विश्व भारती द्वारा प्रकाशित सम्पूर्ण आगम वाड्.मय लगभग एक लाख पृष्ठों में समाहित है। उम्र के नवें दशक के उत्तरार्ध में आचार्य महाप्रज्ञ भगवती भाष्य के दुरूह कार्य में संलग्न हैं। आगम वाङ्मय की यह अमूल्य थाती शोध के क्षेत्र में कार्य करने वालों के लिए सहायक सिद्ध होगी।/
