लुक्खो वि होति तिविधो, जहण्ण मज्झो य उक्कोसो॥१२॥ काल दो प्रकार का होता है-स्निग्ध और रूक्ष । स्निग्ध काल भी तीन प्रकार का होता हैएकान्त स्निग्ध (अति स्निग्ध), मध्यमस्निग्ध और जघन्यस्निग्ध। रूक्ष काल भी तीन प्रकार का होता हैजघन्य, मध्यम और उत्कृष्ट। १३. एगंतसिणिद्धम्मी, पोरिसिमेगं अचेतणो होति।
बितियाए संमीसो, ततियाइ सचेतणो वत्थी' ॥ १३॥ एकान्त स्निग्धकाल में दृतिस्थ पवन एक पौरुषी तक अचित्त रहता है, दूसरी पौरुषी में मिश्र तथा तीसरी प्रहर में सचित्त हो जाता है। १४. मज्झिमनिद्धे दो पोरिसीउ अच्चित्तु मीसओ ततिए।
चउत्थीए सचित्तो, पवणो दइयाइ मज्झगतो॥१४॥ मध्यम स्निग्ध काल में दृतिस्थ पवन दो पौरुषी तक अचित्त रहता है, तीसरी पौरुषी में मिश्र तथा चौथी पौरुषी के प्रारंभ में ही सचित्त हो जाता है। १५. पोरिसितिगमच्चित्तो, निद्धजहन्नम्मि, 'मीसग-चउत्थी।
सच्चित्त पंचमीए, एवं लुक्खे वि दिणवुड्डी ॥१५॥ जघन्य स्निग्ध काल में दृतिस्थ अचित्त पवन तीन पौरुषी तक अचित्त रहता है, चौथी पौरुषी में मिश्र तथा पांचवीं पौरुषी के प्रारंभ में सचित्त हो जाता है। इसी प्रकार रूक्ष काल में पौरुषी के स्थान पर दिनवृद्धि समझनी चाहिए। १६. ओरालग्गहणेणं, तिरिक्खमणुयाऽहवा सुहुमवज्जा।
उद्दवणं पुण जाणसु, अतिवातविवज्जितं पीडं॥२५॥
औदारिक शब्द के ग्रहण से तिर्यञ्च'२, मनुष्य तथा सूक्ष्म वर्जित एकेन्द्रिय का ग्रहण होता है। १. ४ (स)।
