Jaisalmer, lovely tourist city, lost in the desert of Thar, 8 beautiful Śvetāmbara Jain temples dating from the Xirth to the Xyth centuries, interconnected by galleries. In a vault under one of these temples is a library called “Jñāna Baņdāra” that possesses an important collection of ancient manuscripts. Some of them date from the IXth century.
