________________ 554 PAMATASAMA SANGHA: It is referred to in an inscription dated V.S. 1715. PUNNAGA-VRKSA-MULA SANGHA: It is to be noted that this Sangha is referred to as a gana of the Mula and Nandi Sanghas as well.355 SENA SANGHA: It was one of the four subdivisions of the Mula Sangha, and its founder was said to be Jinasena, a disciple of Arhadbalin,356 In that case, it may be traced to the 8th-9th cent. A.D. It seems that it was also called Sena Gana.357 SRI SANGHA: It is referred to in the Sravana Belgola inscription of c. 700 A.D,358 (a) Anvaya: (1) Kundakunda. (b) Bali: (1) Ingaleśvara. (c) Gaccha: S. B. DEO (1) Pustaka (d) Gana: (1) Desiya 350 SIMHA SANGHA: It was said to be a branch of the Müla Sangha,360 due to the subdivisions effected by Arhadbalin. 354. NAHAR, III, 2474. 355.
