Regional Distribution: Epigraphs referring to the Tapā gaccha are to be found in Rajputana, Gujarat, Madhya Bharat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Bengal, and Hyderabad (Deccan). Sub-sections: MILES gives the following divisions that took place in the Tapā gaccha: A.D. 1675. 1534. » „ 1526. .. .. 1557. (1) Vijayadeva Sūri Śākhā (2) Vijayarāja (3) Kamala Kalasā (4) Brhat Posala (5) Laghu » (6) Sāgara Gaccha (7) Kamalā or Kavalā Gacchas.
