समाः' इत्यमरः । व्यवसितम् - decided upon; determined. व्यात्तः - opened. वक्तुकामः - desirous of speaking. फणालि - the row of hoods. फणानां फटाना आलिः आवलिः फणालिः । ताम् । उच्चैः वितत्य - expanding very much. अधिधिरः - upon the head. This is an Avyayibhava compound employed in the sense of the Locative case under the rule 'झिःसुब्-', Dharana expanded his hood very much like an umbrella apon the head of the Sage through his superhuman power to serve Him.
Stanza, 59 - अहो धैर्यम् - Oh, what a courage! दैत्यस्य अद्रेः अभिदलनं कर्तुम् - to shatter the mountain or mountain-like huge piece of rock to pieces. शक्तियोगे अपि - notwithstanding your being in possession of strength, प्रत्यादेशात् - because of rejecting. 'प्रत्याख्यानं निरसनं प्रत्यादेशो निराकृतिः' इत्यमरः । भवतः धीरतां न खलु कल्पयामि - I cannot imagine your courage. इति आलपन्ती - speaking out thus. प्रचलदलका - having her hair dangling. प्रचलन्तः लोलाः अलकाः चूर्गकुन्तलाः यस्याः सा । दिव्यं छत्रं व्यरचयत् - produced a very beautiful [ lit. celestail ] umbrella.
Stanzas 60-61- त्यक्तवैरः - who has abandoned enmity. त्यक्तं परिहृतं वैरं शात्रवं येन सः। Op seeing the extraordinary superhuman power of the Sage, the demigod had no other alternative but to give up antagonism with the Sage. तच्छायायाम् - in the shadow of those i. a. of the hood and the umbrella. तयोः फणाच्छत्रयोः छाया अनातपः तच्छाया । तस्याम् | 'छाया सादातपाभावे सत्कान्युत्कोचकान्तिषु । प्रतिबिम्बेऽकैकान्तायां तथा पङ्कतौ च पालने' इति विश्वलोचने । समधिकरुचिम् - having increased splendour. समधिका रुचिः कान्तिः यस्याः सा । ताम् । 'रुचिरिच्छा रुचा रुक्ता शोभाभिश्वङ्गयोरपि । रुक् शोभायां च किरणे स्त्रियामपि मनोरथे' इति विश्वलोचने । उत्पन्नबोधम् - having perfect and pure knowledge manifested. बद्धास्थानम् - having a lecture-hall constructed [ for Him by Kubera ]. बद्धं विरचितं आस्थानं सभामण्डपः यस्य स बद्धास्थानः । तम् । आस्थीयते यत्र पारिषद्यैः इत्थास्थानम् । Here the termination अनट् is affixed
