and again at short intervals. विप्रलम्भावतारम् - the act of bringing into being or experiencing the separation. विप्रलम्भस्यावतारः विप्रलम्भावतारः । तम् । विप्रलम्भः - separation. असह्यं घटयतितरां - renders extremely unbearable. Here the termination af is affixed to the verbal form घटयति to imply excess and आम् is affixed to the form घटयति having तर afixed to it under the rule 'श्यन्मिङ्किझादामद्रव्ये'. This stanza describes the grievous state of the young ladies.
Stanza 38 - मन्मथेन - by the god of love. 'मदनो मन्मथो मारः प्रद्युम्नो मीनकेतनः । कन्दर्पो दर्पकोऽनङ्गः कामः पञ्चशरः स्मरः' इत्यमरः । अस्मदङ्गे रहसि निहिताम् - treasured up in our bodies secretly. रहसि - secretly. त्वत्सम्पर्कस्थिरपरिचयावाप्तये - to have an everlasting acquain. tance with your association [i. e. to have an overlasting familiarity with you]; for the purpose of attaining permanent familiarity with the union with you or with your body. तव त्वया वा सम्पर्कः संसर्गः त्वत्सम्पर्कः । तस्य स्थिरः स्थास्तुश्चासौ परिचयः संस्तवश्च त्वत्सम्पर्कस्थिरपरिचयः। तस्थावाप्तिः प्राप्तिः । तस्यै । तस्य प्राप्तिं विधातुं तं प्राप्तुं वा इत्यर्थः। भाव्यमानाम् - displayed. भाव्यमाना प्रकटीक्रियमाणा। ताम् । तां ताम् - all various. चेष्टाम् - gestures. तां तां चेष्टाम् - any gesture. स्थलीदेवतानांof the sylvan dieties. स्थल्याः देवताः स्थलीदेवताः । Here the termination ङी is affixed to the word स्थल under :the rule "कुण्डगोणस्थलभाजनागकुशकामुककबरकटात् पात्रावपनाकृत्रिमाश्राणास्थूलायसरिरंसुकेशवेशश्रोणो' to imply the sense 'uncultivated land'. स्थली - uncultivated land. मुक्तास्थूलाः - as big as pearls. मुक्ताः मौक्तिकमणयः इव स्थूलाः परिबृहितकायाः मुक्तास्थूलाः । As the word स्थूल implies bigness, property common to both, [i. e. the pearls and the tears], the word मुक्ता , the standard of comparision, is compounded with it under the rule 'सामान्येनोपमानम्'. अश्रुलेशाः - drops of tears. लेशाः - drops. 'लवलेशकणाणवः । इत्यमरः । तरुकिसलयेषु - on the foliage of trees. तरूणां वृक्षाणां किसलयानि पल्लवाः तरुकिसलयानि । तेषु । 'पल्लवोऽस्त्री किसलयं' इत्यमरः । खलु -
