husbands on their returning home. नवघनघटा the assemblage of fresh clouds नवा प्रत्यग्रा घनघटा वारिवाहानां समूहः । घनानां मेघानां घटा समूहः घनघटा | नवा चासो घनघटा च नवघनघटा । यद्वा नवाः प्रत्यग्राः प्रावृडारम्भकाले सम्भूतत्वाच्च घनाः मेघाः च नवघनाः । तेषां घटा समूहः नवघनघटा । यत् as. आत्तनाशा - destroyed, dispersed. आत्तः स्वीकृतः नाशः यया सा आत्तनाशा । प्रकटमहिमा whose superhuman power is manifested प्रकटः महिमा यस्य सः | विद्यासिद्धः __possessing complete and flawless knowledge. विद्या आत्मस्वभावभूतं शुद्धात्मज्ञानं सिद्धा पूर्णत्वेन प्रकटतां प्राप्तं यस्य सः । यद्वा विद्या सिद्धा यस्य सः | This is a बहुब्रीहि compound formed under the rule 'वाहिताग्न्यादिषु '. ध्रुवमभिमनाः - having mind concentrated upon salvation. The state of the liberated soul is eternal and so the state is termed as ध्रुव, अभिगतं मनः यस्य सः अभिमनाः । दुर्विभेदः difficult to agitate. दुःखेन विभिद्यते ध्यानात् प्रच्याव्यते दुर्विभेदः । As the clouds created by the demigod by employing magic have dispersed, the Sage, must have been in possession of superhuman power, for the magic employed by the demigod cannot be nullified by a person who does not possess superhuman power. The demi-god, therefore, infers that the Sage must have possessed superhuman power and knowledge.

Stanza 17 इति आध्यायन् - thinking thus इति आध्यायन् - reflecting, consulting with himself. मन्मथक्लेशमुक्ता from the tortures causing disturbance in mind [or caused by the god of love ]. मननं मत् । चेतनेत्यर्थः । मथ्नातीति मथः । मतो मनसः मथः मन्मथः । मनोमन्थनकृदित्यर्थः । मन्मथश्वासौ आक्लेशः दुःखं च मन्मथाक्लेशः । तेन तस्माद्वा मुक्ता मन्मथाक्लेशमुक्ता । यद्वा मन्मथस्य कामदेवस्य आक्लेशेन आक्लेशाद्वा मुक्ता । ' मदनो मन्मथो मारः प्रद्युम्नो मीनकेतनः ' इत्यमरः । मन्मथः कामचिन्तायां कामदेव कपित्थयोः ' इति विश्वलोचने । The goddess of the brave is described here as free from mental worries owing to the presence of the Sage who would have made her undergo pain by His absence from her. वनतरौ beneath a Sylvan tree.
