Stanza 1-वेगात् - speedily. भवनवलभेः अन्तः - into the interior of the uppermost roofed terraces (or towers). वलमि-भी- the tower. In this sense this word is usod in Mālatimadhava of Bhavabhuti. 'दृष्ट्वा दृष्टा भवनबलभीतुङ्गवातायनस्था'। ( Mal. I. 15). The other reading. अन्तर्भवनवलभि, giving the meaning of the Locative case on account of its being an Avyayibhāva compound, is also appropriate to the contexto I would like to prefer this reading to the one printed in the text. योगिराज - accepts this reading instead of अन्तर्भवनवलभि. कथञ्चित् - anyhow. सूक्ष्मीभूता:- turned into smaller shapes. असूक्ष्माः बृहत्कायाः सूक्ष्माः स्वरूपाकाराः सम्पन्नाः सूक्ष्मीभूताः। The clouds, possessing expansive bodiesr skrink into smaller dimensions while entering into the interior parts of the towers through windows. धूमोद्गारानुकृतिनिपुणा:- skilled in imitating the eruption of the volumes (cr columns) of smoke; expert in imitating the smoke-escape. धूमस्य उद्गारः जालमुखेन बहिनिःसरणं धूमोद्गारः । तस्य अनुकृतिः अनुकरणम् । तत्र निपुणाः कुशलाः धूमोद्गारानुकृतिनिपुणाः । तत्र - in the top-terraces. सुरतरसिको - engrossed in taking great pleasure in. enjoyment. रसः आनन्दः अस्य अस्तीति रसिकः । सुरते निधुवनक्रीडायो रसिको सुरतरसिकौ । यद्वा सुरतस्य रसः सुरतरसः । सोऽस्यास्तीति सुरतरसिकः । तो। शङ्कास्पृष्टाः इव - as though having their fears ronsed. शङ्कया भीत्या स्पृष्टाः जनितस्पर्शाः। 'शङ्का त्रासे वितर्के च' इति 'मणिदोषे भये त्रासः' इति च विश्वलोचने । जालैः - through windows. गवाक्षेभ्यः गवाक्षमुखैा इत्यर्थः । 'जालस्तु क्षारकानायगवाक्षे दम्भवृक्षयोः' इति विश्वलोचने। जराः - shattered into pieces.
Stanga2-सलिलशिशिरैः- cool by the waters. सलिलेन शिशिराः सलिलशिशिराः। तैः । तटवनम्हाम - grown in the forests grown along the banks तटे तीरे वनानि तटवनानि । तत्र रोहन्तीति तटवनरहः । तेषाम् । 'कूलं रोषश्च तीरं च प्रतीरं च तटं त्रिषु' इत्यमरः । मन्दाराणां - of the Mandara
