3. (1) Word is a quality of
space reality as
Words are not quality of space but a reality ( mattergic ) by themselves. Agreeable
(a) They cannot be the quality
of touchables as they are directly percievable while
the words are not. (b) It is produced with space as its inseparable cause.

its substratum like drum, conch etc.
it cannot be so as words are not its quality. Agreeable ( It proves their non-eternality too ). Drums etc. are not its substratum but instrumental causes for producing it which is heard at a distance. The perception is not the effect of space qualityship but it depends upon its nature of origination. Agreeable
(e) It is percieved by nearby
persons and not by distant persons.
(ii) It is also not the quality of realities like soul, mind, direction as their properties are different. (iii) By remainder, it is a
quality of space. 4. Words are non-mattergic
as they are quality.
