vyākaraṇa mention 64 arts for women without naming them, per chance, this mention may be a later inclusion which could be an influence of Mahābhārata and Vatsyāyana. Jambudvipaprajñapti Vṛtti, Prameyaratna-mañjūṣā and Śivatattva-ratnākara mention 64 arts and crafts for women13. Table 8 gives these names in the two references alongwith Vätsyāyana. It is observed that there is a large difference in the three references with a similarity of about 25-30 % in each list. It is also found, by comparison, they about one-fourth of the womens arts and crafts are the same as in the general 72 arts detailed above. The total of the list comes to be about 140 including all common ones.
