eva vivāhadharmādau tathā silpanirüpaņe. na doso hyuttamam punyamitthameva vipacyate.
Thus, in marriage duties etc. as well as in demonstrating crafts etc. there is no sin because excellent merit ( auspicious Tīrthankara nāmakarman ) is realised in this way.
kiñcehādhikadoșebhyaḥ sattvānāṁ rakṣaṇam tu yat. upakārastadevaisām pravsttyangam tathāsya ca.
Moreover, the motive, of that service of the creatures ( aimed at ) protecting them from more sins, is the cause of his ( Seer's ) inclination that way ( in giving away state etc. ).
nāgāde rakṣaṇam yadvadgartädyākarşaņena tu. kurvanna dosavāṁstadvadanyathā'sambhavādayam.
Just as one, pulling out somebody from the pits etc. to protect from snakes etc., is not guilty, similarly, ( in granting the state etc., he does not commit sin ) because of avoiding otherwise ( dire consequences ).
itthar caitadihaistavyamanyathā deśanāplayam. kudharmādinimittatvāddoṣāyaiva prasajyate.
In this way, ( to avoid dire consequences ) by inflicting ( little harm ) this ( handing over state etc. ) be considered ( blemishless ) otherwise precept etc. also being the cause of vices etc. ( will be considered ) as producing demerit.
