anyastvāhāsya rājyādipradāne doșa eva tu. mahīdhikaraṇatvena tattvamārge’vicakṣaṇaḥ.
Others, not versed in comprehending the real path,
may say that handing over of the kingdom etc. (by teacher of the universe) is, certainly, a demerit being the cause of the great vices.
apradāne hi rājyasya nāyakābhāvato janāḥ. mitho vai kāladoṣeṇa maryādābhedakāriṇaḥ. vinaśyantyadhikaṁ yasmādiha loke paratra ca. śaktau satyāmupekṣā ca yujyate na mahātmanaḥ. tasmāttadupakārāya tatpradānaṁ guṇāvahām. parārthadīkṣitasyāsya viśeṣeṇa jagadguroḥ.
Definitely, if throne is not handed over, the people, in the absence of its leader and also due to the defilement of time, will mutually violate the limitations, hence will suffer heavily in this world and the other. Therefore, being competent, the negligence on the part of the Great soul, is not viable. That is why from the view-piont of philanthropy, giving away that (the state etc. ), especially, by teacher of the universe, initiated for benevolence, is virtue.
