points:
The commentary of the three aphorism deals with the following
(a)
All these three aphorisms deal with the minimum duration of the primary karmic species as below:
1. Feeling-producing karma
2. Physique-making karma 3. Status-determining karmas 4. Deluding karma
5. Knowledge-obscuring karma 6. Conation-obscuring karma 7. Life-span-determining karma
12 Muhurtas in 10th stage 8 Muhurtas in 10th stage
8 Muhurtas in 10th stage
1 Muhurtas in 9th stage
1 Antarmuhurta in 10th stage
1 Antermuhurta in 10th stage.
1 Antermuhurta in 10th stage. for numerable year lifespanned human and subhumans
8. Obstructive karma
1 Antarmuhurta in 10th stage.
(b) The minimum duration of different karmic species except lifespan karma is bonded in the last part of 9th (deluding) and 10th (other 6 karmas) spiritual stages. The minimum duration of life-span karma is bonded with humans and sub-humans in the lands of action having a life-span of numerable years. This is indicated in the table above.
2. The data of maximum duration indicates that the deluding karma is the strongest while the life-span karma is the weakest. In contrast, the data on minimum duration indicate the feeling-producing karma has the highest duration while knowledge-obscuring etc. (fivekarmas) have the lowest duration. The physique-making and statusdetermining karmas are intermediate with respect to both types of duration.
3. These aphorism 8.14-17 and 8.18-20 indicate about the maximum and minimum duration of primary species of karmas only. In contrast, many other texts have given both types of duration for the secondary species of the karmas also. As given in the Table below.
