His period, of which he himself was the epicentre, can be said to have been the starting point of the genesis of Kannada religious literature; and this significant conjecture lends hand, to some extent, for tracing the early line of development of the Kannada literature of the Pre-Nrpatunga period. A thorough study of the available later Kannada commentaries on his select Pāhuda: is likely to yield promising results.
