________________ 162 VALIDITY OF KNOWLEDGE AND OMNISCIENCE ject. Whatever might have been the motive in formulating the theory of kavala-jñāna, it is an integral part of Jaina epistemology. Kevala jñāna has a super-validity of its own. The pure, perfect and absolute knowledge is like a mirror, which shows the purity and exactitude of knowledge, without any distinction or confusion and the absence of any effort, mental or sensorial.
