K., & pot- in KC. ; at JC. 2 28 7 poftulla- (potta-+=ulla, suffix) v.1. pettulla- (petta-+suffis-ulla-) is used in the derogatory sense of belly, that is to mean, 'this wretched belly'; cf. M. pot Koń potr 'the stomach'. See ND. pef= 'belly, stomach'. The word seems to be of Dravidian origin; cf. Kap. potte, hotte, Te. poţta= 'the belly, the stomach'.)
