________________ 128 [24. athan] DB. इौंदवह ईदो ओदासा लोहरिलो xx। [#1]#21 RE À 7Xxx 1122 R. Tag ätät THOM(?) TRTWI......! ... ESIT H............ 11 Note : 1. In very late Sanskrit Say is known in the sense of air-. See for example the Hindi-Sabda-Sāgar. We have in Prakrit cita-, 1979- (DN. 1, 81) and part- (Sandeśarāsaka ). 2. The second item is obscure, The gloss is possibly aftur. Metrically the latter part is defective and short by several Mātrās. In the second line one lacuna is at the begi. nning and another at the end, Daniēlou and Bhatt assume that the name of the dialect was given in the beginning of the second line and hence they supply the letter से before मयाहिओ. But मयाहिआ is Sk, q1199: and as such it seems to be the gloss for the Deśya item that possibly followed it in the last portion. 4 suggests 0773 or TT, after which appeared the Desya item. If, as in Mahārāştri, the Deśya word for lion was here also cach. then the latter part of the second line can be reconstructed as मयाहिओ भण्णए पुल्ली. The name of the dialect was contained in the lost portion either at the end of the first line or at the beginning of the second. Item identified : Tanzar a kind of rainy insect'.
