in ०इवि. Thr mumber of instances of other suffixes in our text : ०एविणु 11; ०३ 28; ०इय 2, ०इउ 1, ०अप्पि 1. Those in ०इय are निवेसिय, पेसिय 95c, विच्छाइय 188d and Pk. मुणिय 213a; in इड, फरिसिउ 132d; in अप्पि, सहप्पि 199a. Besides these there occurs विज्ज 191e (cg. epic विद्य) and an interesting case of 'compound' absolutive दहेवि करि 108b, which is a precursor of the Moderm Hindi बोल कर, हँस कर etc.
Infinitive. In ०अणह : कहणह 80a; in ० अणउ : धरणउ 71a; in ०अणु : कहणु 81a; in ०अण : सहण 218b. Gerundive.
In ०इव्वउ (Sk. ०तव्य) : पढिव्वउ 20d, 21d, जंपिव्वउ 82c, जाइव्वउ 82d, कहिव्वउ 99d;
__ in ०इय and ०इज्ज (Sk. ०य as in कथ्य, गम्य etc) : कहिय (5 times), जंपिय, पभणिय; पभणिज्ज (twice), कहिज्ज;
in oअणिज्ज (Sk. ०अनीय): कहणिज्ज.

The three types are represented thus : passives in 054 : 33, in ०इज्ज० : 13, in ०ईय० (metri causa) : 3. Besides these there are some 20 ‘irregular' passives which represent the further phonetic development of the corresponding Sk. forms : सिज्जइ, पिज्जइ, गिज्जइ, णज्जइ,झिज्झइ, दीसइ, कीरइ, पेसि, सुम्भइ, पसुप्पड़; घुम्मंति, डझंति;from the causative: चडाइयइ, सुहाइयइ. Note also जाइअइ, लाइयइ. Causative and Denominative.
___A. ०आव् is the general causative suffix which in certain cases becomes shortened to 0347 in accordance with 18. Further, in declension the one of this o379 is occasionally dropped according to
