________________ 55 Ätmasiddhi minded person remains receptive to the truth, and that enables him to dispassionately evaluate different viewpoints. Dispassionateness is the antithesis of sectarianism. Hence a sectarian cannot resort to that. It would be easy to understand that one, who calms down the passions, does not stay attached to the worldly aspects. Detachment is thus implied in a calmed-down state. Similarly straightforwardness and impartiality flow from such a state Calming of the passions thus brings fourth other attributes. Unfortunately a sectarian does not possess these attributes and as such he cannot undertake real spiritual pursuit. Such a sectarian therefore continues the worldly cycle of birth and death. લક્ષણ કહ્યાં મતાર્થીનાં, મતાર્થ જાવા કાજ; હવે કહ્યું આત્માર્થીનાં, આત્મ-અર્થ સુખસાજ. 113311 Lakshan Kahyän Matärthinän, Matärtha Jävä Käj; Have Kahun Ätmärthinän, Ätma-artha Sukhasäj.
