________________ अर्थ योगनिरोधाधिकारः ॥२१॥ स समुद्घातनिवृत्तोऽथ मनोवाक्काययोगवान् भगवान् । यतियोग्ययोगयोक्ता योगनिरोधं मुनिरुपैति ॥२७७॥ On Yoganirodha That venerable Lord (Kevali) after retiring from Samudghata, (still having or associated with) mental, vocal and physical activities and performing activities that are fit for monks, proceeds to annihilate all activities (of mind, speech and body). 277 पञ्चेन्द्रियोऽथ संज्ञी यः पर्याप्तो जघन्ययोगी स्यात् । निरूणद्धि मनोयोगं ततोऽप्यसंख्येयगुणहीनम् ॥२७८॥ After that the Kevali who has perfectly developped five senses and mind. in a very short time controls mental activity. He annihilates (gross) mental activities. Then annihilates innumerable subtle activities of mind. 278. द्वीन्द्रियसाधारणयोर्वागुच्छ्वासावधो जयति तद्वत् । पनकस्य काययागं जघन्यपर्याप्तकस्याधः ॥२७९॥ Then the Kevali controls or annihilates unlimited gross and subtle activities of speech and vegetable Jivas, in the manner of annihilation of mental activity. Then annihilates the unlimited gross bodily activities within short time like Panaka. (Particular Vanaspati kāyajiva). 279. 165 166 सूक्ष्मक्रियमप्रतिपाति काययोगोपगतस्ततो ध्यात्वा । विगतक्रियमनिवति त्वनुत्तरं ध्यायति परेण ॥२८॥ Then after annihilating gross activities of body, having subtle activities of it, meditates on Sūkşmakriyamapratipāti. Then after annihilating subtle activities of body, meditates on Vigatakriyanivịttidhyāna in which all activities are stopped. 280.
