Tīsagutta (Tisyagupta ) Disciple of preceptor Vasu(3). He was the second Niphava (schismatic) who had propounded the doctrine of Jivapaesiya at Rāyagiha after sixteen years of Mahāvīra's obtaining omniscience. The doctrine advocates the view that it is the last of the innumerable particles of the soul which is possessed of conciousness. Mittasiri had removed his misconception at Amalakappă.5 1.
