the works of Siddhasena and incorporated much from them in their own works. This would be quite clear to those who study their works. Silāńka in his commentary on Ācārānga', Sūtra-křtānga2 and VādiVetāla-Sānti-Sūri in his famous commentary named Pāiyahave quoted many verses from San mati in the form of conversation ; and Vādi-Deva Suri in his Syād-Väda-Ratnā kara shows a very close study of the commentary of Sanmati, and in his discussion of the Pramānas, one of his many sources is Nyāyāvatāra. Not only that, but Vādi-Deva in beginning his own work Ratnākarao openly declares Siddhasena to be the chief authority for his work.
